About the opportunity

The Accounts Payable Officer reports into the Operations Lead and is responsible for the accurate processing of reconciliation of vendor accounts, root cause analysis of invoice and statement issues.

This team looks after a variety of queries, which means your days are ever changing, giving you the ability to investigate and challenge what does not look right, offering viable solutions to assist in a timely manner, and owning these queries end to end.

A few key responsibilities will include:

  • Working with vendors to improve the service we provide to them

  • Provide consistent and clear customer support across specific vendor accounts

  • Build relationships and improve processes with our internal business partners

About you

You will have excellent communication skills, bring a solutions-focused and client-centric approach to this Accounts Payable role, where your analytical mind will be put to use, asking the right questions when things don’t seem correct.

Your ability to prioritise, work in an agile manner, and work independently to resolve queries will be key. Your motivation to deliver customer focused solutions will come first.

Key skills we see ideal for this role, are:

  • a minimum of 1-2 years exposure to Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable and want to learn and develop further.

  • Exposure to invoicing, credits and reconciliation

  • Having strong attention to detail to ensure data integrity

  • Experience working with Excel and exposure to SAP operating systems will also be desirable

  • Displaying initiative when faced with problems and taking ownership to ensure positive outcomes

  • Being curious and driven to find better ways to do things
